Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
I invite you to join me and Presiding Bishop Michael Curry in the global movement, Thy Kingdom Come, which commends all Christians to pray, in whatever way they want, so that others may come to know Jesus. Bishop Curry recently said,
“Prayer actually does change things. We may not always know how. We may not always know the details. We may not always see the end result or the end product…but prayer changes things…because prayer brings God into our conscious focus and in some mysterious way, prayer alters the chemistry of the moment and changes the equation of life.”
Started in 2016 by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in the Church of England, Thy Kingdom Come
has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. It takes place May 25 through June 4, between the festivals of Ascension and Pentecost. Learn more about Thy Kingdom Come

The needs in our world are great with so many people yearning for hope and healing. Prayer not only draws us closer to God, but prayer also equips us to become the embodiment of Jesus’s love. I hope you will join me and set aside time in your day to pray.
